BRIEF DESCRIPTION A grass with a blue-green foliage, somewhat flattened culms, and short contracted panicles. It spread by rhizomes and by seed. USES Used for pasture and forage. GROWING PERIOD Cool-season long-lived perennial. COMMON NAMES Canada bluegrass. FURTHER INF Canada bluegrass is probably native of Europe and Asia. It is adapted to the same general area as poa pratensis. (pH estimated by the compiler).
