GROWING PERIOD
Evergreen perennial tree. Trees can be tapped for gum when 5-6 years old and can be tapped for 40-60 years or more.

Peru balsam, Balsam of Peru.

Scientific synonyms: M. pereirae, Myrospermum pereirae, Toluifera Pereirae. Peru balsam is native to the west coats of Central America. It can grow up to 35 m tall. Found at altitudes up to 600 m.
